Pengertian, Rumus, Penggunaan, Penjabaran dan Cara Mudah Mengingat Tense

BahrelweyPost- Tense adalah kata kerja dalam bahasa inggris berfungsi untuk menunjukkan waktu terjadinya seuatu perbuatan atau peristiwa. Macam atau jenis tense yaitu sedang terjadi/sekarang, akan terjadi dan yang telah terjadi/lalu/lampau. Terdapat 16 tense dalam bahasa inggris. Tetapi kali ini BahrelweyPost akan memberikan 8 tense lengkap disertai contoh 10 kalimat atau penggunaan per Tense, rumus, pengertian dan penjabaran istilah. Pada artikel ini akan diberikan rumus dan pengertian yang mudah dimengerti dan penjabaran yang lengkap. Dengan cara ini akan mudah untuk mengingat setiap jenis Tense. Selain itu, penjabaran yang mudah ini semoga dapat membantu kalian semua dalam mempelajari tense bahasa inggris. Berikut ini kita Kupas Tuntas Tense Bahasa Inggris

Simple Present  Tense

Simple Present  Tense adalah tense yang digunakan untuk menyatakan kebiasaan, fakta, yang ajeg atau tetap, dan yang terjadi pada saat ini ("present")
Rumusnya Subjek + Verb 1, kata kerja/verb asli tanpa tambahan apapun seperti "ing" (walk) Karena rumusnya sederhana tense ini diberi judul "simple". Berikut adalah contoh atau penggunaannya :

1. We attend  an English Course twice a week.

2. My sister goes to a university in Jogja.

3. The students wear uniforms.
(Pelajar menggunakan seragam)

4. The bell rings at seven.

5. Our neighbours never complain.

6. The dogs bark at night.

7. The man sells fruits in the market.

8. Susanti spends much money on clothes.

9. The last train leaves at midninght.

10. Amin often comes late for class

Present Continuous Tense

Present Continuous Tense adalah tense yang digunakan untuk menyatakan sesuatu yang sedang terjadi atau yang sedang berlangsung saat ini ("present") Karena sedang berlangsung dan tidak ajeg disebut "continuous"
Rumusnya Subjek + am/is/are + verb dasar dengan akhiran -ing (walking) Contoh Penggunannya :

1. The teacher is explaining the lesson.
(Guru sedang menjelaskan pelajaran)

2. The students are listening to the teacher.

3. The school principal is delivering a speech.

4. We are copying the teacher’s explanation.

5. Father is talking to Uncle Tom.

6. Jack and Jane are talking about the Mathematics home-work assignment.

7. Mother is preparing the breakfast.

8. The servant is mopping the floor.

9. Nina is watering the flowers.

10. The children are watching a cartoon.

Simple Past Tense
Simple Past Tense adalah tense yang digunakan untuk menyatakan sesuatu yang telah terjadi/lalu/lampau ("past")
Rumusnya Subjek + Verb bentuk 2 (walked) Karena rumusnya sederhana tense ini diberi judul "simple". Berikut adalah contoh atau penggunaannya :

1. We attended a meeting yesterday afternoon
(Kami menghadiri rapat kemarin siang)

2. The students had an English test last Tuesday

3. Bill introduced Jack and Jane at Mrs.Allen’s party last Sunday.

4. They went to Surabaya two days ago.

5. Alice bought a new camera.

6. Bob came to this country two years ago.

7. We saw  ‘Deep Blue Sea’ on Trans TV yesterday evening.

8. The students visited many places of interest when they were in Bali.

9. Arman broke from his bike and hurt his arms.

10. Cinderella felt sad when her mother didn’t let her attend the party.

Past Continuous Tense
Past Continuous Tense adalah tense yang digunakan untuk menyatakan sesuatu yang sedang terjadi ("continuous") di waktu lalu/lampau ("past"). Waktu tersebut seperti ketika, saat, dan kemarin.
Rumusnya Subjek + was/were + verb -ing. was dan were adalah tobe lampau mereka menggantikan is dan are, was untuk menggantikan is dan were untuk menggantikan are. Berikut adalah contoh atau penggunaannya :

1. We were waiting for the bus when we met Mr.Ramlan.
(Kita sedang menunggu bus ketika kita bertemu Pak Ramlan)

2. Jane was washing the dishes when mother came home from the market.

3. The students were listening to the teacher when someone knocked at the door.

4. We were having dinner when Uncle Rahmat came from Surabaya.

5. I was doing the home-work assignment when there was a power cut.

6. When you phoned me, I was watching TV.

7. We were watering the flowers when father arrived home.

8. The teacher was explaining the lesson when suddenly a student rose a hand and asked a question.

9. The children were playing in the yard when it began to rain.

10. I was driving when the earthquake happened.

Present Perfect Tense
Present Perfect Tense adalah tense yang digunakan untuk menyatakan sesuatu yang telah dimulai pada saat lampau/lalu dan telah selesai di titik waktu tertentu atau masih berlanjut hingga sekarang.
Rumusnya Subjek + have (i, you) /has (she, he) + verb lampau (-ed) Berikut adalah contoh atau penggunaannya :

1. The students have completed all the home-work assignments
(Para murid telah menyelesaikan seluruh pekerjaan rumah mereka)

2. The teacher has announced the result of the test

3. I have known the new student.

4. The farmers have harvested the crops.

5. The secretary has met the manager

6. Mr.Harun has sold his car

7. I have seen ‘Home Alone’.

8. Father has arrived home

9. The bell has rung.

10. All the students and the teacher have come.

Present Perfect  Continuous Tense
Present Perfect  Continuous Tense adalah tense yang digunakan untuk menyatakan sesuatu yang telah selesai di suatu titik di masa lalu/lampau atau yang sudah dimulai di waktu lampau/lalu dan masih terjadi sampe sekarang.
Rumus S + have/has + verb lampau. Berikut adalah contoh atau penggunaannya :

1. They have been having a talk for an hour

2. It has been raining since morning

3. The students have been working in the laboratory since 9 o’clock.
(Para murid telah berada di laboratorium sejak pukul 9)

4. I have been waiting for the train since an hour ago

5. The workers have been working  for two and half hours.

6. The children have been watching cartoons for  two hours

7. The school principal has been delivering a speech since 7 o’clock.

8. My brother has been working on his computer for twenty minutes.

9. Miss Liu has been teaching English for foreign students for quite a long time.

10. The mechanics have been repairing my car for more than two hours.

Past  Perfect Tense
Past  Perfect Tense adalah tense yang digunakan untuk menyatakan sesuatu yang telah selesai pada titik waktu di masa lalu sebelum aksi lainnya terjadi.
Rumusnya Subjek + had (seluruh subjek) + verb lampau. Berikut adalah contoh atau penggunaannya:

1. The thief had escaped when the police came
(Perampok telah berhasil meloloskan diri ketika polisi datang)

2. They went home after they finished their work

3. They had waited for an hour before the doctor came.

4. He had saved up for five years before he bought a new car.

5. Some students had cleaned the room before the class began

6. I had locked the doors and windows before I left for office.

7. Aunt Tina had informed us before she came from Surabaya.

8. After we had finished the experiment we tidied up the laboratory.

9. The participants of the seminar entered the hall after they had signed the attendance list.

10. The teacher had announced the result of the test before she left for a seminar in Jakarta.

Present Future Tense
Present Future Tense adalah tense yang digunakan untuk menyatakan sesuatu yang diinginkan saat ini dan akan terjadi/pada masa depan.
Rumusnya Subjek + tobe + verb. Berikut adalah contoh atau penggunaannya:

1. The examination will start next week

2. I am going to redecorate the kitchen.
(Aku pergi untuk mendekorasi ulang dapur)

3. My classmate Aida is hospitalized. I will send her some grapes.

4. The students are going to learn how to operate computer

5. I forgot to book seats. I will telephone for them now.

6. It’s cloudy. It’s going to rain this afternoon.

7. We are sure, we will win the match.

8. Uncle Winata is going to go abroad next December

9. Father will buy me a new  handphone

10. Mr.Allen is going to have a party next month.
